Typically the thrillers fail to live up to their trailers but I think the upcoming Jim Carrey/Virginia Madsen-starring film The Number 23, which is set for release in late February, could provide a deeper storyline given its numerology-based subject matter.  The teaser breaks the plot line into: boy and girl fall in love, girl buys boy book, book reveals secrets, Jim Carrey’s Satan.  Who know’s how it’ll pan out but even for ol’ Rubberface himself it seems like somewhat of a stretch.  If nothing else it’ll be interesting to see how Jim Carrey deals with a serious role after the (from what I hear) God-awful Fun with Dick and Jane.
