The Hood Internet was back this week, this time around providing a mashup utilizing a track from one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Portishead’s Third. Combining its lead single “Machine Gun,” the band’s first single in roughly a decade, with Juvenile creates something raw yet unsettling. Portishead’s new material is brilliant, but the beat from “Machine Gun” doesn’t offer itself up as something as readily accessible as the track it’s paired with, Juvenile’s “In My Life.” Also this week, DJ STV SLV delivered a fantastic banger featuring Blaqstarr.

Celebrating some of the best mashups from the past month is the latest installation of the Bootie Top 10. As usual, there are a few familiar titles; likewise the list includes some great tracks that fell below the radar this past month - of which one of the best is featured here by DJ Magnet.
