Tokyo Police Club on the Late Show

Submitted by Chris DeLine on May 1, 2007 – 9:00 am2 Comments

At what moment was it, exactly, that The Late Show with David Letterman made a cognitive decision to break bands? Tokyo Police Club are by far not a new entity to many an indie rock fan, but the opportunity to see the band on a national stage is something surprising and reassuring at the same time. While shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, which bats about .500 at the best of times, swerves occasionally and gets focused on a lot of L.A. trash Letterman and his show have become THE place for late night musical exposure. But – think Conan will have the same freedom over his guest list when he takes over The Tonight Show? Am I right?
