UFC 130 Results: “Rampage” Pounds Hamill To Take Unanimous Decision

Stumping Matt Hamill’s every last offensive attempt, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson continued dominance throughout their entire UFC 130 bout before eventually taking a unanimous decision victory (30-27).

Attempting a number of kick attempts early, Hamill would later try for a few scattered, and unusually telegraphed, takedowns before “Rampage” closed the round out strong: bloodying Hamill up with a series of strong strikes before finishing with a sturdy leg kick. Continually stuffing any offensive gestures by Hamill — subsequently each time returning with damaging outbursts of his own — “Rampage” hit a big shot late in the second which hurt the wrestler, a trend which was continued throughout the third.

Failing to end the fight or remain the constant aggressor however, “Rampage” might not have offered match-makers enough evidence to suggest that he should be next in line for Jon Jones’ Light Heavyweight Championship. Despite claiming a fractured hand in the post-fight interview, “Rampage” himself only graded his showing a 5/10 when talking to Joe Rogan. Regardless, knowing Dana White, it will only be a matter of time before we find out if his effort was enough.

Key to the fight: Matt Hamill’s inability to shoot or muster any offense on the feet

Prediction: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson via Round 2 TKO
