VBS recently produced a series which sent The Black Lips over to Israel where the band was set to perform a number of scheduled live appearances. The group, whose recent Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo was recorded live in Tijuana, was however given a three word obstacle which they weren’t expecting; work visa denied. “In June of 2007 The Black Lips experienced a deep spiritual calling to bring a vision of holy debauchery to Israel…however, just as blasphemers challenged Jesus, they were met with hardship when work permits were denied. Sometimes deception is the path to greater good and a ruse was formulated to pose as ‘tourists.’”
