The release of Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky has brought about a wide variety of news, criticisms and all around general banter – all of which have added to the (lack of) myth surrounding its release. Chromewaves offered up a number of related links including those to a mere six of the innumerable interviews the band has done for the album, noting “Media saturation? Maybe just a little.” Many historical fans of the band seem to be pissed off at the complacency of the album compared to Yankee Foxtrot Hotel, but many new fans (myself included) love it for its simplicity and lyrical warmth. All Don Henley and Volkswagen mentions aside, if you haven’t done so yet I would suggest checking out the album, a sample of which can be heard here through the band’s set performed for AOL Sessions.
