Can’t say I’m a big fan of bands playing a old “hit” for the second song…it screams pandering to me. Also, they don’t have two songs on their new album they are supposed to be promoting that they want to play?

  • Chris DeLine says:

At least SNL is consistent in making sure that the sound quality of the musical performances is worthless. Odd choice breaking “Maps” out rather than introducing a second single from the new album… but then again, not much about that show makes sense right now.

  • sean says:

I dunno, seems to me they’re probably trying to reintroduce themselves in a way, so hauling out their biggest hit is probably the easiest method. “Oh, this is that band? Okay.”

SNL really does have awful sound, though. It’s pure mud.
