All Creatures Veterinary Center – What To Expect From a Vet

We have always had animals around the house and after our vet moved away last year we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to replace him. Thankfully however we found the wonderful team at All Creatures Veterinary Center who have been absolutely amazing each time that we have had to deal with them. Wen the time came to find a new vet we had to sit down and think about what exactly you should expect from a good vets, and from there you can then have a better idea when it coms to looking, and this was of course how we found the team at All Creatures.

If you are in need of a vet or you wish to change your vet, these are the keys to making sure that you make the right choice.

Flexibility

I know that there are a lot of village vets with small clinics who do a great job but we really wanted to find a veterinary center which was fully equipped for just about everything. My fear was always that if the dogs had an issue, I didn’t want to go through the step of taking them to a vet first and then an animal hospital, I wanted it all done under one roof.

Loving Animals

Believe it or not there are some vets out there who are brilliant in terms of their knowledge of animal medicine, but they are not the kindest people on the planet when it comes to handling them. I want to know that my dogs are not just well cared for in a medical aspect, but also that they are treated with the love and care that they get back home. All Creatures has been the perfect example of this and they have always taken great care of the dogs when they are in.

Prices

Even if you do have a pet insurance plan in place, making sure that the price is reasonable will be a very important aspect of getting the right vets. My theory is that if the price is very low, it means that they either have a poor reputation or they are brand new, if the price is too high then they are in it for the money and that could very well compromise how well they look after the animals. There may very well be exceptions to the rule of course, but in the main this is why I believe that you have to ensure that the pricing is competitive with other vets in the area.

Accessible

The reason why we changed vet in the first place was because our old vet moved away, he only moved 50km and although we were very happy with what he did for us, it was just too far away for our liking. If you are looking for a new vet then try your best to keep it close, as this makes your life so much easier should you need emergency care.
