After a hectic spring and summer of outdoor music events, fall sees such shows move indoors as the chilly weather sets in. Fans might be wondering if this fall’s concert season will be any better than 2020, marred by postponements and cancelations due to Covid. 2021 looks set to be different, with many indoor music events going ahead, albeit under stringent public health regulations. Venues maintain strict Covid prevention protocols, and any ticketholders found non-compliant will be ejected.
Here are some of the concerts Philadelphia will be hosting this fall at some of its most prominent venues:
Xcite Center at Parx Casino
Situated in Bucks County, a short drive from central Philly, the Parx Casino entertainment complex includes its Xcite Center, where audiences can gather to enjoy some quality performances in the next few months. Fans who view concerts at Parx can also fit in a bit of gambling by using its PA online casino facilities.
Among the highlights the Xcite Center’s fall roster boasts is 80’s crooners, Air Supply. Their concert is on Friday, 29 October 2021. Guitar genius Buddy Guy will also be appearing, headlining a concert on Thursday, 4 November 2021. His eclectic style, known as the bridge between blues and rock ‘n roll, is a firm favorite among fans, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
Wells Fargo Center
J. Cole’s show on September 15 was postponed to October 27, 2021, due to production issues. This well-known rapper will perform some of his most iconic music, including tracks from his latest album, The Off-Season.
Powerhouse 2021 is Power 99’s hip-hop festival that occurs in Philadelphia and New York. Featured artists include Megan Thee Stallion, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Durk, and Roddy Rich. The Philly event is set for October 29, 2021. Get your string backpack ready for a night of great fun.

Gabriella Wilson, better known as H.E.R. (Having Everything Revealed), plays at the Met on October 23, 2021. This year, the singer and songwriter released her debut full-length album, Back of My Mind, and fans are excited to see her in action.
