Uganda in Africa is one of the best places to be in for those who love adventure and excitement. Like many other African countries, Uganda is endowed with some of the best natural places of tourist interest. While Kampala, the capital city offers quite a bit for those who wish to see the modern face of Africa in general and Uganda in particular, there are quite a few safaris and other such tourist attractions. If you are somebody who would love to spend some time with the best of nature, there is no doubt that Uganda has quite a few things to offer. We will look at some of the most important places of adventure in this wonderful country.
Which Is The Best Time To Visit
The months of June to August and December to January are considered to be the most ideal for a Uganda tour. This is because these two seasons are dry. Additionally these seasons are also considered the best because it could be the time when animals also congregate around the various water bodies including the legendary Savannah. The skies will be clearer and you will have lesser rainfalls though complete rainfall can never be expected in rain forests.
Gorilla Safari
There is no doubt that Gorilla Safari is considered one of the best places to be in as far as Uganda is concerned. It will give you a chance to witness the famous mountain gorillas. These are endangered species and are fiercely protected. There are only around 700 of these majestic gorillas left in the national parks and the parks run through Uganda. They are to be found in the Virunga and Bwindi mountain ranges of this country. Hence it certainly is one of the most important tourist destinations as far as this country is concerned.
Murchison Falls National Park
Situated in the north-western part of Uganda, the Murchison Falls National Park is one of the most scenically beautiful places not only in this country but also across the world. It is the place where the awesome Victoria Nile River surges across a narrow gap and falls over a narrow drop. This is a once in a life time experience and therefore should not be missed out under any circumstances. The scenic beauty apart, you also could enjoy the wonderful boat cruises and also some exotic wildlife experiences. These include giraffes, warthogs, and various other such animals.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
This is perhaps one of the best natural parks in Uganda compared to other parks in Uganda. That is the reason why it continues to be one of the most visited parks in the country apart from being highly popular. It is the place where you can see the big wife as far as wildlife animals are concerned. These include lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes.
Kibale Forest National Park
This is a six day trip and if you are able to take it, the Kibale Forest National Park will remain etched in your memory for a long time. It is one of the best birding destinations and is also the place to be in for those who want to see a large concentration of primates.
