Good news for all the New York Lottery players out there –New York Lottery launched the “Money Dots” Quick Feature!
All the New York Lottery players can now try out the Lottery’s good and new feature with their QuickDraw keno-style game, an additional drawing known as “Money Dots,” which occurs every four minutes right after the drawing for Quick Draw!
“Money Dots is a unique new feature that is colorful and fun to play. As we continue to explore new ways to engage players and support our mission to education, we also consider player convenience,” said New York Lottery Director Gweneth Dean in a press release. “While Money Dots can be purchased at all locations where Quick Draw is sold, draws can be watched in-store or through our New York Lottery mobile app in real-time or on-demand.”
This feature gives the players some extra chances to win cash prizes of up to $50 (I have to say- wow!)
Let’s look at how it is done:
Money Dots is played using the same numbers from 1 to 80 that are available in every Quick Draw game. After the traditional 20 Quick Draw winning numbers are drawn, the rest of the 60 numbers are assigned a color representing a different cash value. Now, what are those colors, and what value do they represent?
- Yellow represents $5
- Purple represents $10
- Green represents $20
- Red represents $50
What happens next?
The players can ask the Quick Draw retailer for a Money Dots Quick Pick to wager a bet for Money Dots. On the other hand, the players can also elect to play it by selecting the option “YES” at the bottom of a Quick Draw play slip or choosing the number of draws they want to play on a Money Dots play slip.
Next, when they wager a bet, they will receive a Money Dots ticket with eight randomly picked Quick Pick Draw wager and is available for up to TWENTY consecutive draws!
Wait, that’s not all; it gets interesting – yes, even more interesting!
The players win a prize by matching one of the numbers that are printed on their tickets to a Money Dot that is drawn in a respective game.
And voila, the players get what they win! And that is how this Money Dots QuickDraw feature works – pretty cool, right?

Unfortunately, the “Extra” multiplier feature for Quick Draw is a different option that does not apply to Money Dots. (sad face) BUT the same Money Dots numbers can be played using the “Play It Again” feature.
The probability of winning a prize value in Money Dots are 1 in 13.33.
The Computerized drawings for Money Dots occur after every four minutes after the Quick Draw drawing except between 3:30 to 4:00 am.
